Objectives of Working Women Welfare Trust

WWWT'S concerted efforts are directed towards enhancement in the quality of life and wellbeing of women working in diverse capacities across the board. We deliver skills, knowledge as well as services, furnishing diverse programs to address social, economic, technical issues and challenges that affect our working ladies and therefore impact family and social dynamics.

The key points serving as guidance to our goals are:

1. Raise awareness about workload on working women;

Women face a double burden of domestic work and jobs and triple burden of childcare (elderly care of family), domestic work and jobs. Highlight the need to propose and promote alternative work options for legislation to ease competing pressures of professional and family obligations and enable working women to manage a balance in their twofold responsibilities. Example flexible working hours and working from home and other options.

2. To facilitate working women as the multiplied workload on her is damaging to her physical and psychological health.

3. To help working women in provision of more convenient working conditions.

4. Maximize job opportunities for professional women who have the skill and potential, but are unable to work for lack of proper facilities (e.g. child care, flexi time, transport etc.). Not to deprive society of the available valuable and qualified human resource (women resource).

5. To sensitize key officials, concerned authorities, policy makers and the media about the plight of working conditions generally prevailing in Pakistan.

6. To mobilise civil society and think tank and pressurise the government for legal enactment of women friendly and family friendly laws for female workforce and implementation of these laws.

7. To precede the real strategic and structural changes in the system needed for the welfare of female workforce.

8. To empower working women by providing them a platform of collaborated efforts.

9. Compensate working women for their contribution to society. Bring about a healthy and positive change in working women's life which ultimately leads to prosperity of the whole society.

10. To compile all stakeholders recommendations.

Working under the slogan of "Hunar Banae Zindagi", Working Women Welfare Trust decided to explore the E-Market for their products earlier in 2015, with the sole aim to financially aid the talented working women of interior Sindh in all the more productive ways.

The products made under the institution include clothes, bed sheets, cushion covers and various other household related products in which the women from various formerly unrecognized places like Kandyaro and Shikarpur expressed their beautiful handcraft skills in ways more commonly known as Embroidery, Cut work (Ralli work) and Aplic. The price received from these products is used to provide the women living in poverty with appropriate facilities to support their families in honorable ways.

The initial team of three with single instructor started at the beginning of July and was taught the basic demands of displaying products on E-Market; like the appropriate amount of images for each product and the colors and combinations that would catch viewer's eye. After some trial and error during the training duration, the team came together to contribute to individual duties of photography, image editing and text content. The final stage of updating products and bringing them to viewers all over the internet began by late August which, as of now, is still a work in progress.

Customer Service - Client Service

Managing online business requires different skills and abilities than managing a business in the ‘real world.’ Customers can easily detect the size and determine the prestige of a business when they have the ability to walk in and take a look around. Not only do ‘real-world’ furnishings and location tell the customer what level of professionalism to expect, but "real world" personal encounters allow first impressions to be determined by how the business approaches its customer service. When a customer walks into a retail business just about anywhere in the world, that customer expects prompt and personal service, especially with regards to questions that they may have about products they wish to purchase.

Customer service or the client service is the service provided to the customer for his satisfaction during and after the purchase. It is necessary to every business organization to understand the customer needs for value added service. So customer data collection is essential. For this, a good customer service is important. The easiest way to lose a client is because of the poor customer service. The importance of customer service changes by product, industry and customer. Client service is an important part of every business organization. Each organization is different in its attitude towards customer service. Customer service requires a superior quality service through a careful design and execution of a series of activities which include people, technology and processes. Good customer service starts with the design and communication between the company and the staff.

In some ways, the lack of a physical business location allows the online business some leeway that their ‘real world’ counterparts do not enjoy. Location is not important, furnishings are not an issue, and most of the visual first impression is made through the professional design of the business website.

However, one thing still remains true. Customers will make their first impressions on the customer service they encounter. Unfortunately, in online business there is no opportunity for front- line staff to make a good impression. Every interaction the customer has with the website will be their primary means of making their first impression towards the business and its client service. Good customer service in any online business is a direct result of good website design and planning.
